H1B - Visa Stamping and Transfer Concerns

I had a valid L1-B Visa till 10/10/2011 with Company A.

I changed job to Company B, a highly reputed Consulting Company of US (like CSC, Accenture, CTS etc) on an H1-B visa on 10/17/2011 with a validity of 3 years. since i was already in US, my visa has not been stamped yet.

Now I have another offer, which is more attractive from Company C, a very huge orgainzation of US ((like JP Morgan, AIG, Chase, Citi), which i have decided to move in. Company C is ready to do my H1 Transfer, and they are waiting for 3rd paystub from Company B.

Meanwhile I need to go to India, which i can push if that is better, which complicates matters and confuses more.

1. Would it be better to go to India and get the H1-visa stamped (with the Company B), and then return to US, and ask Company C to initiate the H1-B Transfer process

or

2. Get the H1-B Transfer from Company C ASAP, and once that is approved, go to India and get it stamped.

Which one would be better and good, less risky.

Please respond to this at the earliest, it would be a great help for me to understand which direction to pick.
