I got following email in response to my SR to TSC -

Your file has been requested. Upon receipt, your case will be reviewed for adjudication. Once the case is adjudicated, you will be notified of the final decision. You should expect an action in your case within 60-90 days.

Has anyone else got similar response ? Does anyone know what it means ?

This happens when you send a email requesting information that is usually not available to the 1-800 Customer support representative. From what i understand USCIS/DHS is done with most of the pre-adjudication and hence the decision may not differ from what is already decided. But if they can 'get' any answer to your query from the requested file, then they may provide you with an answer.

So are you saying that people who respond to these emails and people who actually approve the cases are two different set of people and person responding to me is just requesting my file to give me answer!?

My email to TSC was sent to follow up on a request to switch eligibility on my pending i-485 made 30 days prior to sending an email.

It's all pretty confusing!
