jobas2007
Me and sposue are planning to go for H-1/H-4 visa interview next month or so (my child being a US citizen does not need visa). Does Indian embassy allow minor (very young) child to accompany during VISA interview? If yes, how should the consulate be informed accordingly. Thanks !! Link to comment

JoeF
That depends on the consulate. Some consulates do not allow that. Call the consulate before going there, to avoid being sent back. Link to comment
INDNewYork
Hyderabad consulate allows. I received a confirmation email from them as my wife is also in same situation. Link to comment
Immigeek
I was in the same situation in 2008 where we had to get our H1/H4 stamping in Chennai. We took our Son and they asked for his US passport. No issues. The consulates staff are considerate to humane requests and often times are very helpful and considerate. The only word of caution is that things might have changed between 2008 and Now. So email the embassy directly and find out your options. Cheers! Link to comment
