Instability Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Hi, I have applied for EAD extension and received a receipt notice by mail. The received date on it is Jan 14. However, I have not been able to pull up my case status on USCIS website using my case number. The USCIS website shows error for my case number with the following message: •Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at XXX. I have called the customer service number and they have acknowledged that its a problem with their system. But I am worried now as its been some time and the situation has not been rectified yet. Anyone else having such issues recently?
chandder165 Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Hello, I have the same situaton. I filed in mid jan and still the status shows missing. I called and they confirmed the problem at their end. However they assured that everything was fine and the case is in progress even though the case status online does not show any activity. Did you finish your biometrics?
Instability Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Posted March 15, 2011 I did not have any biometrics request. I suppose that was because it was EAD renewal application; not sure. Did you receive your EAD yet?
BKDina Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 I am currently on EAD and on waiting list with NVC for a Family 1 GC that has been approved but on waiting list (with 1 year backlog). I really want to travel outside U.S. but not sure if I can and return to U.S. without issues... Please advise.
