Successful H1 stamping on EVC @ Chennai after 221g green in July 2011

Hello All,

I got my passport with H1 stamped today.

Interview : 14 Jul 2011

Docs submitted with passport : 27 Jul 2011

Received passport with stamping and all submitted docs : 8 Sep 2011

My employment model : EVC

VO asked foll questions @ interview:

Q:Where do I work ?

A:I replied Client Site.

Q:Who is your supervisor ?

A: Someone from my employer.

Q:Is anyone else from your company working at your client site ?

A: I said No.

Q:I there a middle vendor between your employer and client ?

A: I replied Yes.

At this point VO picked up 221g green and asked for all docs sent at the time of filing H1 and all contracts with client.He also circled passport at the back of the 221g form.

He did not ask for paystubs or tax returns.

Since mine was EVC, I had sent contracts b/w my employer and vendor and vendor and client along with the client letter.

All the best to everyone out there since I know exactly how it feels to be on a 221g.
