They are saying that once i get a project - they would apply for H1B in premium and are saying that i can work even before october 1st of this year. Is it true? If we are on H4 and in US - can we work even before 1st of october if H1 petition is approved? Please let me know ASAP. Thanks!! Link to comment

Joe.F Posted June 3, 2011 Report Share Posted June 3, 2011 The H1 can only start on Oct. 1. You can NOT work before that date. I suggest finding a better employer, one who doesn't suggest violating the immigration laws. Link to comment

thisisnaveen Posted June 8, 2011 Report Share Posted June 8, 2011 if you worked on H1B before and changed from H1 to H4 and now again if you are considering to COS from H4 to H1 then you can start working immediately and need not wait for October 1st is it new H1 or COS? Link to comment
