H1-B and 1099-NEC

Hello, I am on H1-B and I am planning to get financial services license and working with company part time. At the end of year company will issue 1099.  When is the last time someone got rejection for H1B because of 1099 income?

You can not work with another employer while on H1. You would be put of status, and would destroy your future in the US.

It is work, and you can only work for your employer while on H1.

This is definitely a violation of H1B status. People in H1B status who are doing this now may think it's ok because they have not yet been caught. But once they apply for a green card, or have an interview with a visa officer after this trend becomes something they focus on, it will become a major problem.

As soon as they have to provide tax returns the illegal work will become evident, and that's the end of their stay in the US.

Bottom line: don't do it. Don't ever even think about doing it.
