EB2 GC Interview in 2 weeks, laid off 2 months ago, starting new job next week...Any issues?

Recommended Posts

My EB2 I-140 was approved in 2014 and my I-485 is in pending status for 2 years. I was laid off 2 months ago by the company that filed my GC and have been looking for a new job. Got a letter from USCIS to appear for an initial interview on June 26th. I will be starting a new job on June 17th on GC EAD and the new employer provided an I-485 Supplement J and verification letter. I won't be able to provide paystubs for the last 2 months. I do not have any period of unauthorized stay in the US. Will the issue of me not having a job for 2 months and the fact that it's so close to the interview date, be an issue during the interview?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks. I decided to ask my original employer and they were willing to take me back and also give a Supplement J for the interview. I will be joining their client to start work this Friday. Hopefully, this would mean less questions from the officer. Both the employers are US consulting companies.
