Green Card Options For PhD Holders

Recommended Posts

I am currently exploring options for obtaining a Green Card in the United States. I hold a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Canada, and I am currently working as a post-doctoral fellow in Canada. I have a substantial number of citations (around 80 articles with 400 plus citations) and a good academic record. One of my friends suggested some pathways in the EB-1 and EB-2 (NIW) categories.

I completely understand that reading things on the internet and online law firm pages may seem attractive. However, the real scenarios are always different. I seek expert advice on whether this is a viable option for me. Are there any specific criteria or hurdles that are particularly challenging?

How does one demonstrate that their work is of substantial merit and national importance in terms of these Green Card applications?

Any insights, experiences, or advice on navigating these pathways would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance!
