Regarding OPT for Non STEM Degree

Recommended Posts

Good evening. I am on F1 student visa currently and it expires Dec 2027. In 2020, I did my undergraduate degree (4 year degree) at the university of Connecticut majoring in allied health sciences. It was a NON STEM bachelors degree. I graduated 2024 may and I going to pursue my second bachelors degree in nursing in Florida. It is a 16 month NON STEM course and gets over in December 2025. Once I graduate, I will get my RN license. Because it is a non STEM degree, I can work only for a year (until my EAD card expires). Is there a way to extend my visa or get sponsorship as an RN and continue staying in the US?
