Recieved employment based GreenCard. Questions regarding the 6 month rule.

Recommended Posts

I recently received my employment based green card in January. I work for a consulting company and have been on bench for the last few months. I'm aware that we should not switch employers for at least 6 months after getting the green card. In my case, I am still with the same employer, but have not been earning any money for several months, does this mean that I am not meeting the requirement of "working" for the same employer for 6 months after receiving my greencard?

When I go for my citizenship interview in 5 years, will I be required to show documentation/proof of continued employment with the same employer who filed my 485? If so, what documents would they ask for? (paystubs, W2? )

Any info anyone could provide here would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
