should i open a SR asking for status of i-485 status?

My PD (Aug 2006) is current from June1st and haven't heard anything on the status. Do I need to raise a service request or shall I just wait.?

When would be the idle time to raise request. Experts please suggest

This visa bulletin is for month of JULY - give them about 2 weeks in JULY and open say after 15th July if your case does not move.

if your date is current since June 1 you should be opening up an SR. Also, from my experience, ask the first level CSR to transfer you to the Imm officer (second level). IO can pull detailed info from their systems (which the CSRs don't have access to) and can even help processing the case faster.
