MO1234
I am in a unique situation. In Jan 2023, I received a GC Interview request from USCIS. I appeared in Feb and now has an approved GC. I traveled outside the USA with approved GC three times till date and have had no issues. However, today morning, I received another Green Card Interview request. It is very confusing. Has anyone ever been in this situation? Any guidance as to why? I have spoken with USCIS and they have no idea. P.S- My GC appln is dependent and his appls was approved in 2020. Quote Link to comment
Attorney_6
It is rather unusual, and could possibly be an error. There is not much advice I can offer you here without knowing more of your background, except to: 1) check whether your green card was correctly issued, meaning if your priority date was current as of the month your green card was approved and whether it was approved in the correct category, 2) keep trying to contact USCIS to inquire further so they possibly recognize if it was an error and have the interview canceled, and 3) if interview is not canceled, attend the interview as scheduled and if you are able to, have an attorney accompany you to the interview.
