Kiranvk13 Posted May 25, 2023 Report Share Posted May 25, 2023 Dear Team, I have an upcoming H1-B visa appointment and posses a renewed I-797 with validity until Dec , 2025. I have a new valid passport with no visa stamp. However, my old or expired passport had an expired US Visa stamp and cannot find the old passport until now. Q1 : I have drop box appointment in a few days at Hyd. Is it mandatory to carry the expired passport? or soft-copy/Xerox sufficient? Q2: Since the drop box appointment is within a few days, what are my options if I am unable to find the expired passport? Do I need to report the passport as lost to the Indian Embassy and provide that as a proof to the US consulate? Regards, Kiran Quote Link to comment
