rrahulreddy Posted April 20 Report Share Posted April 20 I have been working outside of US on H1B for a year now. And I got RFE for my H1B extension for Maintenance of Status. I have always been legally in US in last 4 years. Not sure if this Maintenance of status is because I have been working outside US for a year. I filed extension while was outside US only. whiskeyjack Posted April 28 Report Share Posted April 28 If you are not in US, there’s nothing to “solve” this. Your employer should file for consular processing, and if they send the letter now, CIS would likely just give a I797B approval. Quote Link to comment
