RPA2020
Hello Murthy Law firm/friends, I wanted to know if anyone experienced below situation regarding I-485 status. Context: My PD is May 2013 (EB2 with previous company). My new employer filed my I-485 in EB3 in Aug 2020 and then submitted I-485J to port my application from EB3 to EB2 in Aug 2022. When my company filed my I-485J my date was current in EB2 category. In Feb 2023, my I-485J (to port to EB2) got approved and same day my 485 is also approved, but I never received my green card (its been more than 2 months). When I reached out to USCIS via congresswoman, they got a reply stating the "I-485 was approved prematurely and the case was reopened the next day. A visa was not available at the time of approval and the file was shipped to the NBC to await visa availability. The applicant’s priority date is not yet current". Question: My 485 still has the "case was approved" status, but no green card. Anyone heard about this situation? Please provide your input/suggestions. I appreciate your help. Thank you.
