I-551 Temp Visa Stamp Old Passort - Enter with New Passport

Hello & Good Day,

My parent got GC approved Feb '23 and I-551 Temporary Evidence Stamp on passport valid until July 2023.

Travel Plan (India - US) for June '23. Current passport with visa expires in Oct '23 and on enetring passport validity will be less than 6 months.

Planning to renew the passport to have min 6 months validity. Will there be any issues on enetring with New Passport and I-551 Temporary Evidence Stamp in Old Passport

I had a similar situation and was able to enter with the stamp on the old passport along with the new passport. I've an Indian passport and flew from NY to South Africa and came back to NY without any problems.

Thay just show both passports. The stamp stays valid, even if the passport is expired.
