Concerned-F1-Visa
My friend's son, a graduate student at a Texas university, is not being allowed to enroll in the Spring semester (Jan 2023) due to academic non-performance in the previous semesters. He has a health condition and had made a petition which was rejected by the univeristy (as I understand). He can potentially get admission into another college starting March 2023 (Quarter system at the other college). Are there any steps he has to take to ensure that his F-1 student status is not in jeopardy until the time he joins the new college? Does he need to hire a lawyer? Does he need to approach the Texas University office and furnish them with the admission papers for the college he is going to transfer to? Any inputs greatly appreciated.
