NickPatt Posted January 19 Report Share Posted January 19 Hello, I am currently working with a not-for-profit organization (A) with cap exempt H1B. This is my 3rd employer and all of my previous employer were cap exempt. So, I was never counted against cap (lottery). I have an approved i140 with priority date of 2019. Recently, I accepted an offer from a for-profit employer (cap subject) (B). Employer B has filed for H1B transfer and it got approved. Now, my questions is, did I have to go through the lottery to switch to employer B. If so, is this an error from USCIS to approve my petition without? Will this cause any issues in the future (stamping or i485 application etc)? Quote Link to comment
