Changed Job AC21, Pending I-140 (EB3), Approved I-140 EB2, RFE received on I-140

Hello Team,

I changed job ,180 after filing of 485 and I-140 (EB3 downgrade). 

New employer filed I-485J, and referenced approved I-140 (EB2). 

Old emp received RFE on I-140 (EB3 downgrade), and is withdrawing my application. 

 

Does my 485 application gets void once I-140 (EB3)  is withdraw or does it continue because I-485J was filed with approved I-140 in EB2 category.

It seems likely that what happens to the I-485 will depend on whether or not USCIS has disconnected the I-485 from and connected it to the EB2 I-140. If it remains attached to the EB3 I-140 with which it was originally filed - something that is quite possible - then a withdrawal of the I-140 will possibly result in the denial of the I-485.
