June 30th 2019 - I applied COS from H1b to F1 and started attending the college. May 30th 2020 - I received COS denial notice due to not maintained my status in H1b. July 2nd week 2020 i found new employer and applied h1b transfer - Approved with I94 extension on October 2020. Note: My I-94 never expired any time. I would like to know how many days am out of status during above situation. Thanks, Quote Link to comment
newacct
It's unusual that they would approve H1b transfer (basically an extension of status) if you were already out of status (which was the reason for your COS denial). What was the new I-94's starting date? Normally, if USCIS accepts a late EOS/COS and approves it, you are retroactively considered to have been in status the whole time. Quote Link to comment
