religious non-profit voluntary work

Have a question about religious non-profit voluntary work. If a person on H1B volunteers for this work and someone reports to the police(for whatever reason), does it cause any issues to current H1B  or Green Card processing?

If you don't get paid, and other people doing similar work also volunteer without pay then you'd be ok.

Yes, if you are on an H1B visa, you can volunteer for a nonprofit or local organization as long as the work would not otherwise be paid. Examples include volunteering for a church or school or soup kitchen. These positions would normally be filled by volunteers and so they are permitted

i understood that its permitted to do Volunteer work for religious non-profit organization(if all the volunteer's including the person on H1B is not getting paid).

to provide more specifics on the work .. can Person on H1B share the religious faith to others?

example : by giving out flyers  in public or visiting to individual homes(which doesn't have "no soliciting board") .

is there a reference of Do vs DONT's about this law?
