Visa regressed, transfer to NBC

I filed I-485 in Oct 2020 with EB3 downgrade concurrent filing to Nebraska Service Center. Later in Jan 2022, interfiled to change underlying basis to EB2 with PD in 2012. Recently my case got transferred to NBC and few days later I received "notice of file transfer for visa regressed case" from Field Office and case got transferred back from FO to NBC. Although I received receipt for I-485J filed along inter-file request in May 2022, my underlying basis never got changed to EB-2. Is there anything I can do to request NBC to process my interfile which they acknowledged to received in May 2022?

My PD is 2012 and USCIS is approving 2013 and 2014 cases. In some cases they are sending RFE for inter-filing. What is the next action in such a case? Is my case put again on backburner? When will this indefinite wait come to an end?
