msk_midhun Posted July 9, 2022 Report Share Posted July 9, 2022 Hi All, my case was transferred from SRC to NBC and my wife's did not. We both did not get EAD yet. However, they approved my green card. Now, I am not sure what would be my wife's status. Would she continue to have her H4 until her green card gets adjudicated? We are so worried about her status and current employment she has with her H4 EAD. What is the best solution I have? Please suggest quickly. Thanks in advance! Quote Link to comment
newacct Posted July 13, 2022 Report Share Posted July 13, 2022 If your I-485 is approved, you cease to have H1b status, and your wife ceases to have H4 status. Thus, she cannot work on H4 EAD anymore, until she gets her I-485-based EAD or green card. Quote Link to comment
