Suryaram2020 Posted June 8, 2022 Report Share Posted June 8, 2022 Hi Friends, Im currently working in software firm and my H4 EAD is expiring in Dec'22. what options do i have in order to have continuity in my job with extension to EAD? 1. If i file for H4+H4EAD by July 1st week, are there good chances that i will get my H4EAD by then? 2. (or) should i travel to India , get H4 extension and then file for H4EAD which will get me automatic extension to 540 days? please suggest. Quote Link to comment
Zodiac System Posted June 9, 2022 Report Share Posted June 9, 2022 (edited) If your H4 EAD falls under one of the the following categories, you will get automatic extension of 180 days from Dec. 2022 as mentioned below: The individual's expiring EAD has a category code eligible for an automatic extension as provided by USCIS. The eligible category codes are A03, A05, A07, A08, A10, A17*, A18*, C08, C09, C10, C16, C20, C22, C24, C26*, C31, and A12 or C19 Check for your code on your H4 EAD card. Good Luck.
