H1 Transfer from Cap Exempted to Capped

I have H1 Visa from cap exempted category from 2016 and apply for GC 2017, and now suppose I got H1 from capped category, will my GC priority date get change, because my transfer H1 form cap exemption to Capped category or it will be still 2017 the time when I applied the GC.

Please help me with this.

Your GC priority date should be 2017.

The PD has nothing to do with your H1. The process for the GC doesn't care about non-profit vs. for-profit organizations.

The new employer has to start the GC process from scratch, but if you have an approved I-140 for 6 months from the previous employer you can reuse th PD.
