Automatic revalidation for H1 and H4 - re entry to US from Canada

Me (H1B) and my spouse and daughter (H4)have approved I-797 form  and valid I-94  till 2023 end, but visa is expired in passport ( not stamped yet.)

we have valid canada visa , Can we both H1 and H4 travel to Canada for a week  (family visit ) and enter back to USA  with approved I-797 making use of automatic revalidation at the border? Is there any risk of denial of entry associated with automatic revalidation?
