Ma San Posted November 17, 2021 Report Share Posted November 17, 2021 Hello All, I was on a J-1 visa which got shortened (not terminated/not suspended) due to a criminal issue. However, my criminal case has been dismissed and I applied for a change of status (from J-1 to F-1) as a strategy to stay here legally, during the grace period of my J-1 visa. Now since my case is dismissed from court, I am trying to get a new J-1 sponsorship asap. I found that in this case, J-1 reinstatement is an option but on the internet, it is very confusing. So, could someone has any experience with J-1 reinstatement and can share their experience with this please? It would be a grate help for me please. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
