Ashish_89
Hello All, I would like to know if SSN is required to be filled in the DS-160 form for H4 because though I had it during my stay in the US, I do not have it now as I am in my home country and have not made a note of it. newacct
Once an SSN is issued to you, it is yours for life. You should enter it on any government form asking for an SSN. Do you mean you forgot your SSN? How did you get an SSN? Did you have an EAD or some work status? Did you file tax returns in the US? If so, do you have records of it? It should have your SSN on there. Quote Link to comment
rksingh
Most US govt forms require you to provide SSN number if you have ever been issued one.............Call the Social Security Adminstration if you have forgotten your SSN though its a long shot since you will have to provide lots of ID verification before they entertain your request. Look thru your old tax returns....maybe you can find your SSN there. Quote Link to comment
