Minal Bandewar
I want to sponsor Visitor Visa for my parents. I currently have H1 Approval Form (I-797 A) under change of status type. My visa stamping is pending as I have not visited India since my H1B approval. Can sponsor Visitor Visa for my parents with only I -797? Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
"Note: Visa applicants must qualify on the basis of the applicant's residence and ties abroad, rather than assurances from U.S. family and friends. A letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support is not needed to apply for a visitor visa. If you choose to bring a letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support to your interview, please remember it is not one of the factors used in determining whether to issue or deny the visa." Visitor Visa (state.gov) Of course, you are allowed to pay for the trip. They can certainly apply for a tourist visa. Quote Link to comment
