H4 to L1b COS - Travel during RfE

Dear experts, I need your advice on below query.

My company has filed for COS from H4 to L1b. RfE is issued after 4 days of filing in premium processing. RfE is not yet received by attorney. 

I need to travel on a business trip for couple of weeks outside of USA in a month. 

Can I travel outside of States if the case is not approved till that time and request for consular processing?
