We would like to adopt him and bring him here to live with us as our dependent visa on H4 visa. Does anyone have experience dealing with adoption when on H1B status? Thank you. Quote Link to comment

However since your case involves adopting a non-US citizen, you will have to complete all adoption legal formalities in India since child is Indian citizen and is subject to jurisdiction of Indian Law. After that process is completed, you will then have to apply for a H4 visa for him to bring him to US. Quote Link to comment
