1st Visa Stamping after Change of status from L-1B to H-1B

My company had recently changed my status from L-1B to H-1B. (I also have I-140 approved recently). My home country is UK.

I'd like to know if I should travel to my home country for getting my 1st H-1B visa stamping after this change of status or is there any impact/rules that'd prevent me travelling to Canada/India to get the 1st H-1B visa stamping ? Unfortunately, the option of India is ruled out at the moment due to US embassies extended closure due to COVID.

Would appreciate anyone sharing some light on this.
