Amit Behera
My spouse is on an H4 visa and is currently in the US. She does not have EAD. Can she do an online dropshipping ecommerce business? She will register the company in India. There will be 2 directors, herself and her father. Her father is in India and she is in the US. The business bank account will be opened in India. The payment processor/gateway will be in India to receive the money in the Indian bank account. The products will be sold in the US and later worldwide. Is this situation illegal or unauthorized or conflicts the US immigration? Quote Link to comment

You already know the answer and its "No",H4 is for dependents and H4 EAD for work/employment. Do not violate current visa conditions or rules by finding loopholes. You may not like it down the line when it bites back. On 7/16/2021 at 4:52 PM, Amit Behera said: Is this situation illegal or unauthorized or conflicts the US immigration? Even though entity/bank/ processor is in India... if she moves a box in US it can be considered "work" and that's not the reason why USCIS approved her H4. Apply for H4 EAD- get approval and do it right way. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
She can NOT work for the business while she is in the US on H4. It doesn't matter where the company is located, it matters where she is located. Quote Link to comment
