Need advice urgently on my Status OPT -H1 or -CPT

Here is my case .

I am in final stem opt - expiring on July 2, 2021.  Currently I am working ( long term) 

H1 registration successful & my employer filed h1 today .

1.  Am i eligible to apply cap gap when H1 is still pending ? 

(My university says we must hav approved h1 in order apply cap gap ) is it true ?  

If i won't get any response from INS before  July 2 nd,   how can I save my status ?

2. How to apply 60 day rule once EAD expires?

3.  Do i  Need to apply fall admissions day1cpt program

Stay away from Day 1 CPT. That's all fraud and would kill your future in the US.

You have 60 days from July 2nd for the H1 approval in which case the cap-gap will apply for the month of October.
