Do I need to withdraw pending H4 extension if I start working on I-485 AOS EAD (pending I485)?

Hi, I am planning to use my I-485 EAD for work. I currently also have H4 COS and H4 EAD application pending with USCIS and not sure how long it will take. So, If I get H4 approved after starting work on EAD (pending I485), does my status change to H4? Do you suggest to withdraw the H4 / H4-EAD application? Please advice.

AOS is not a status but lets you stay and work based on the EAD and travel on AP.

The H4 application is not material to the AOS and you can ignore it and move on.

Thank you! If I use AOS EAD (i-140 not approved yet) and if i-140 or 485 denied (worst case), can I simply switch to H4 status and start using H4 EAD, provided primary applicant is maintaining H1 status. currently I have H4 COS and H4 EAD application pending with USCIS
