Pirate
Hi Team, My employer says my i140 is approved, but i didn't get any receipt number or approval copy as he is not sharing the same. So i raised a FOIA request and i got the response from FOIA saying that the documents couldn't be located. It's been more than 6 months and after that only i am raising the FOIA request. I am not sure what to do from here, to get the i140 receipt number. Just receipt number will do for me as my new employer is asking for the receipt number. Can some one please advise on how to move further. Regards, Ram Quote Link to comment
Zodiac System
I140 is an employer document. Your current employer may use discretion on sharing it. You can have multiple I140's with multiple employers. Your new employer will be able to start your I140 process. Edited May 18, 2021 by Zodiac System Quote Link to comment

Your current employer is under no obligation to share anything with you (some exception i.e. visa stamping when you have to carry an original documents with you). FOIA is one way but, your future employer's attorney can get those very easily, if they wish. Quote Link to comment
