H1B Amendment impacted due to pandemic

Hi Team,

Due to the current travel restriction announced by the USA, I am unable to travel to the USA to file my H1B Amendment for a material change in roles and responsibilities; The last date for filing the amendment was May 31st, 2021. 

What options do my employers have here?

Does USCIS provide any grace period considering the pandemic situation? 

What happens if I miss filing the amendment within the specified timeline?

Any input here would be of great help. Thank you.

You may not have any credible claim.

It's not you who need to file, your employer need to take care of it through attorney.

File the amendment, no other options. 

 

it's least likely that there will be any changes in travel restrictions before 31st May, best course of action is to work with your employer.

Need more details. But looks like you are not in the USA and in that case there is no timeline. You can leek working from out side of USA.
