Lost previous employer H1 original document - visa stamping in a week

I have visa stamping on March 23 and realized that I lost my previous employers original documents. I still have my current employer H1 document that requires stamping. But please let me know how important it is to carry old H1 documents for visa interview.

Copies will be fine. Better to carry all H1B approved copies just in case if they ask them.

Hi,

I have a similar situation,I am planning to travel in April last week,but my employer has lost my original I797 and applied for a duplicate.I have a copy of my I797  and receipt notice of the duplicate copy request.Could some please let me know if a original I797 is mandatory at visa interview and POE?
