I-485 Rejected - Need help

I got rejection notice today -02/08(Eligibility category C09). I am the primary and my priority date is 02/11/2011 and my wife also has i-140 approved.

I-485 was filed on Oct 29th 2020.Both primary and derivative applicants got rejected. When checked online it says 'Rejected due to improper filing'.

Filed Category - EB2

The rejection notice says
"Based on the information provided, a visa is not immediately available for your priority date.USCIS will accept form i-485 application to register permanent residence from family sponsored and employment based applicants according to the monthly visa bulletin that DOS published as a guide for issuing visas at US consulted and embassies."

Does anybody got such rejection? I checked i-485 both primary and secondary has sections 3a,9a and 8e are filled correctly.

Can we refile with explanation as it is clearly an USCIS error or any suggestions will be helpful .

Your best bet would be to check with Attorney. As far as i know, your date has to be current to re-submit application.

May i know what were the values that you specified for 3a, 9a and 8e for derivative.
