harsh_patel Posted January 28, 2021 Report Share Posted January 28, 2021 Job title - Machine Learning Engineer SOC code - 17-2141 - Mechanical Engineering Work - Typical MLE and software engineering Job duties according to H1B petition - Typical MLE Undergraduate - Mechanical Engineering Graduate - Engineering Management H1B approved in 2020 June, yet to do stamping. Should I be worried as I may have difficulty in changing jobs? Option 1 - Request lawyers to file LCA amendment to change change SOC code to 15 family as my job is repeated to this role Option 2 - No worries, if I change my company, the new LCA can be under different SOC code assuming "same or similar" parameter can be proven as my job duties would match Quote Link to comment
