L1 and L2 applications with recent visa ban extension

Hello,

With the latest visa ban extension for work visas, I’m wondering what my options are for working in the US.

My situation:

- Canadian citizen

- company will petition a L1 visa

- spouse is a Canadian permenant resident (not a citizen) but needs a L2 visa

 

I’ve read that I’ve exempt from the ban since I’m a citizen of Canada. How do I go about getting an application for a L1 during this ban? Is it at the airport?

Also is my spouse exempt even if she is not a Canadian citizen and given the fact that I’m exempt from the ban extension or do we need to wait till the ban is lifted? How does he/she go about an L2 application? Does this require a consulate interview?
