H1-B Remote work address amendment

Hello,

I have a situation where my employer is ready to file an Amendment to work from home in a different state where we don't have any physical work location. Our plan is to use my new residence as a Work location along with HQ(different state). For this, can I relocate to the other state and apply for an Amendment or does it have to be the first amendment process and then relocate? For the latter, I do have to start my lease early without moving.

You can move and then do amendment or apply and then move. I feel there is no hard rule that you need to move and them apply. Normally people will get H1B approved and then move to new place and join new company..
