jump00 Posted September 27, 2020 Report Posted September 27, 2020 To my knowledge, Job Portability under INA section 204(j) rule came in Jan 2017. It looks like it allows job portability while filing I-485 if current employer (not started PERM) is ok to provide go ahead based on approved I-140 from previous employer. Am I understanding correctly that current employer need not file PERM or I-140 from fresh but still the primary applicant can file I-485 with current employer info instead of previous employer? Quote
