communicator Posted September 27, 2020 Report Posted September 27, 2020 (edited) With the latest USCIS update, I became eligible to downgrade my EB2 application into Eb3, however, when I applied for my passport back in 2007 in India, I received my passport with a mistake in the first name where an alphabet at the end of my first name was missing. But due to the lengthy processing times of passport at that time I wasn't able to apply for the correction. I got I-20 with passport name and since then all my Visas are with name in the passport. But because of October VB, I became eligible to downgrade to apply for I-485. Please let me know whether that causes any issues when I submit my birth certificate and passport which has two different spellings in the first name for I-485 documentation? Thanks in advance.
