Filing AOS and 485 while working with different employer

Hi,

I am in the process of moving to a new employer, i have my 140 approved with my current employer and since there are predictions that there will be lot of movement in EB green cards with the October 2020 bulletin. Can my current employer still file my AOS even after i move to the new company?

Appreciate any helpful details on this.
