Applying SSN on L2 Visa

Hi  Team,

I am on L1 Visa and my  wife is on L2 ,   My question is related to applying SSN  for L2.

 

1. My wife came to US on Sep-1^st week ,  is she eligible to apply SSN ? Can L2’s apply SSN immediately after arriving to US ?
2. Should I need to apply EAD first and then get SSN or can I go ahead and apply SSN immediately.
3. After getting SSN is it mandatory to apply for EAD before starting to look for a job ? is EAD required ?

3. She needs to get an EAD before she can start working. An EAD is not needed to "look for work", though an employer might refuse to hire her if she doesn't know when she will get her EAD.
