raj517
HI, I received the unfortunate news about the sudden demise of my father. I immediately arranged my travel to India leaving my family in USA. My current visa in passport expired more than 24 months ago. What are the option I have to get visa stamped? Can I request for emergency visa appointment? Please share if there is a facebook or whatsapp group who are in the same boat. Please advice. Thanks Raj Quote Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
I am sorry to hear sad news and may your father's soul rest in peace. Now in India US consulates are not opened for visa stamping. You need to wait till they are open. We cannot say exactly when they will be opened. You need to really have emergency to request it. swetha_09
You can travel to India, and you can get an EA based on family separation, that is what I did, but I was asked to send employment documents through scan and gave me a 221g instead of the approval. VO did not look into my employment documents at the consular interview. you can look into my post below for details. Edited September 28, 2020 by swetha_09 Quote Link to comment
