Attorney used wrong Alien number in my H1 transfer, what are the right steps to fix it

Attorney used wrong Alien number from my I-140 in my H1 transfer filing, what are the right steps to get it fixed? I already gave my notice period to my previous employer and pressed for time!

Does H1 application get rejected or RFEd or what happends 😞?

Attorney confirmed a missing number in Alien number in the end should be okay as they attached the I-140 in the end.

Has your attorney attached a copy of your I-140?  Then you should be good.  In case the petition is being upgraded to premium, the correct I-140 alien number along with a scanned copy can be mentioned at that time in the cover letter OR if there is an RFE, your attorney can submit the correct alien number at that time.

I feel your attorney will take care of it. If  RFE they will send correct documentation to fix it.

Yes, they did, it is already a premium processing application. I was thinking we can proactively reach out to the Premium Processing Unit with the petition number directly, but Attorney suggests calling them will increase a chance of RFE which I didn't quite understand.

I never had an RFE in my life, so I am curious what ways can we avoid this preemptively.

I am assuming that a scanned copy of I-140 (which has all the correct details)  has been sent along with your H1b petition to USCIS. Hopefully USCIS may give the benefit of doubt/overlook the the typo in the I-140 alien number.   Please do keep us posted on the updates.

Looks like it was approved without any problem. But, apparently, there are ways to reach Premium Processing center and let them know.
