CanuckinAmerica Posted September 2, 2020 Report Posted September 2, 2020 (edited) Hi all, My wife ( a citizen of India) is on an H1B and just got a new i797 with her status renewed until 2023. She's unable to get an interview for stamping of a visa until March next year. I'm a Canadian and my H4 expires in October this year. Would it make more sense to file for an extension of status (i-539) by paying the $400 filing fee and play the waiting game; Or do I leave and apply for a new H4 on arrival at the port of entry?
